Dental Crowns
A crown fits over a tooth that has become weakened, badly broken down or damaged by decay. It can also be used after root canal treatment or placed onto a dental implant to replace a missing tooth.
We gently prepare the tooth and take a digital scan or impression so your crown can be made to fit precisely. A temporary crown may be placed while your final one is being made. Once ready, we check the shape, colour and bite before fitting it securely with special adhesives or tooth cement.
Dental Bridges
A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth with a fixed replacement that is supported by the teeth beside the gap or, in some cases, by dental implants.
Bridges can be a good option when an implant is not suitable or when the neighbouring teeth would benefit from crowns themselves. We will talk you through the choices and help you decide which option suits your mouth, smile and treatment goals best.
Materials and Appearance
We choose each material to balance strength, appearance and where the restoration will sit.
For visible areas, highly aesthetic ceramics such as porcelain and E-max can closely mimic natural enamel. Where chewing forces are greater, tooth-coloured zirconia is often an excellent choice. We may also offer porcelain fused to metal, which remains tooth-coloured on the outside, or highly durable gold depending on your needs and preferences.
